Dario Gradi is looking to loan a defender to help the club through the current injury crisis. With Neil Cox and Julien Baudet struggling to be fit for Saturday’s derby with Port Vale, Dario only has youngsters Danny O’Donnell, Darran Kempson and Adam Dugdale as options for centre-back on Saturday. Third and fourth choice centre-backs Kempson and O’Donnell combined for the first time on Saturday – with the 5-1 loss prompting Dario to consider a loan move.

Despite the possible returns of full backs Jon Otsemobor and Andy Taylor from injury this Saturday, Dario has admitted that he would like an experienced centre-back on loan. Gradi revealed, ‘We will continue to work with Danny and Darran although we would look to bring someone in on loan.’
