Crewe Alexandra travel to Swindon Town this weekend hoping to secure a positive result and move off the bottom of the table.

Manager Steve Davis will be forced into at least a couple of changes with loanees Ryan Lowe and Adam King having returned to their parent clubs.

Fit-again Billy Bingham and Brad Inman are the favourites to come in as their replacements, with newcomer Zoumana Bakayogo included on the bench having signed non-contract terms earlier this week.

Defensive duo George Ray (ankle) and Harry Davis (knee), plus striker Lauri Dalla Valle (ankle), remain sidelined for the visitors.

“It’s a place we’ve not had a lot of success in the past,” manager Davis admitted to the Stoke Sentinel. “We want to go there and do better and it’s an important game.

“We want to try to get some points to get off the bottom and get ourselves out of the relegation zone,” he added. “We’re looking at how Swindon have played in the last few games and the systems they’ve used. We’re looking to go there and be positive.”

Swindon hope to have skipper Nathan Thompson back from injury but caretaker manager Luke Williams – following Martin Ling’s departure last week – has a virtual full squad available.
