Crewe Alexandra are on their travels whilst visiting mid-table Crawley Town this weekend.

“We may have to tweak one or two things but we’ve been in good form” – Steve Davis

The visitors have centre-back George
Ray and midfielder Anthony Grant suspended and could recall defensive pair Jon Guthrie and Harry Davis.

Welsh Under-21 international Ray was sent-off against Sheffield United last week while midfielder Grant has accumulated five bookings this season.

The Railwaymen actually did the double over their latest opponents last term and have lost only once in their six previous meetings.

“We go to Crawley in a positive mood,” manager Steve Davis told
BBC Radio Stoke. “We may have to tweak one or two things but we’ve been in good form. We gave our all against Sheffield United last week and could have got something.

“They have a very experienced manager in John Gregory. He has managed at the highest level and has come back into the game after having a bit of time out of the game,” he added. “He is taking full advantage of that opportunity and is building his own team there.”

Crawley are still missing defender Ryan Dickson (knee) while winger Marvin Elliott is a doubt.
