Crewe have taken former Stockport defender Jordan Rose on trial with the 21 year old due to play in tonight’s friendly at Nantwich Town.

Having been part of Southampton and Bournemouth’s youth systems, Rose has spent most of his early career in the non-league playing for the likes of Weymouth, Brockenhurst and Bath before Stockport signed him up last summer.

He made his debut in the Stockport defence in October 2010 and went on to play a further 18 games for the Hatters before being released following their relegation into the Blue Square Premier last season.

Rose is to be joined at Nantwich tonight by two further trialists. One who we already know about, former Leyton Orient winger Loick Pires, whilst Leicester City youngster Tom Parkes has arrived at the club hoping to impress enough to earn a loan deal.
