Crewe Alexandra are expected to extend the loan of Watford striker Uche Ikpeazu following their weekend clash with rivals Port Vale.

“He wants to be here and he wants to score goals” – Steve Davis

The nineteen-year-old forward is currently in his second loan stint at Gresty Road
and has to date scored twice in seven appearances for the Railwaymen this season. That followed Ikpeazu netting
four times in fifteen games last term.

“We have an agreement from his club to stay, that will be signed after the Vale game,” manager Steve Davis told the Crewe & Nantwich Guardian. “He’s done well for the club and he’s exciting.

“He’s still learning, he wants to be here and he wants to score goals,” he added. “What more can you ask from a player from another club?”
