After second choice goalkeeper Dave Richards broke a finger in Tuesday night’s Cheshire Senior Cup victory at Hyde, manager David Artell moved quickly to bring in a new goalkeeper with Andy Dawber the man coming in, the official site announced earlier.

Dawber started his career at Accrington Stanley, where he made his debut in the Football League Trophy game against Morecambe in September 2012 and he made 5 league appearances before leaving Stanley by mutual consent in March 2015.

In the summer of 2015, he joined Fulham on a 1-year deal but his only action in that spell came during a loan spell with Bishop’s Stortford in Feburuary 2016. Last summer he joined Altrincham where he has made 10 starts and 1 sub appearance, although none have been since their 3-2 defeat at Alfreton Town back in November.
