Crewe will be in the draw for the Johnstone Paints Trophy 1st Round North which is to take place on Saturday 11th August. Last season we started at Round due to receiving a bye in round 1.
No such look this time round. Bury, Carlisle, Port Vale, Rochdale, Darlington, Leeds, Lincoln and Stockport have all been given bye’s to round 2 after a pre-draw at FL headquarters earlier in the week.
The final of the competition will return to Wembley this season. Crewe were knocked out in the Northern final last season by Doncaster Rovers.
