Crewe Alexandra missed out on a third straight victory as Doncaster Rovers scored twice in added time for a dramatic 3-2 triumph at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Marcus Haber earned the visitors a first-half lead but Conor Grant equalised for their opponents prior to the interval.
However, Crewe substitute Callum Saunders appeared to win it with his first senior goal in the final minute, only for Cameron Stewart to level from a free-kick and Andy Williams to snatch a decisive winner.
The Railwaymen had gone ahead against the run of play as Haber converted Adam King’s delivery, but Grant replied from James Coppinger’s cross six minutes later.
Both sides had further opportunities with Ben Garratt twice denying the hosts and opposite number Thorsten Stuckmann keeping out King, Ryan Colclough and Ryan Lowe.
Alex substitute Saunders then restored the lead during the closing moments from decent work by Ollie Turton, Brad Inman and Colclough.
But there was still enough time for a great free-kick strike from Stewart to draw the home side level – and moments later Williams hit a twenty-yard winner.
