Crewe are said to be one of several teams interested in signing Leicester City’s Louis Dodds.

The young striker is currently out of contract, having stalled on a new offer from Leicester. However, having been left out of a pre-season training camp in Slovenia by Leicester recently it looks like a move away from the Foxes is in the pipeline for Dodds.

The 21 year old is also said to be interesting Lincoln City, Bradford, Rochdale, Cheltenham, Darlington & Port Vale. He spent the whole of last season on loan to Lincoln where he scored nine goals in 43 appearances.

He’s also had spells at Rochdale and Northwich in recent years and in 2006 was voted Leicester City’s Academy Player of the Year. He’s also played for England at youth level.

If the Alex were to secure the signing of Dodds then a fee would be required due to Dodds being under 24, meaning it could go to a tribunal.
