Lancaster City youngster Jordan Connerton is spending time on trial with Crewe in the hope of securing a professional contract.

After a three day trial last week he’s been called back so Dario can take a further look at him at the end of this week.

Connerton has made a name for himself at Lancaster this season, netting over 30 goals already.

The 19 year old has already received interest from a whole host of league clubs this season, including Morecambe, Motherwell, Leeds, Preston, amongst others.

He played in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Chorley for Lancaster, netting his 35th goal of the season.

Connerton will be hoping to join the likes of Carl Martin and Danny Gardner who both made the step up from non-league to professional terms with the Alex this season.
