Crewe Alexandra have a big game this weekend with Coventry City arriving at Gresty Road.

“I’m hoping that some of them will seize their chance in the line-up” – Steve Davis

Manager Steve Davis could decide on a recall for Australian-born midfielder Brad Inman following a run of four successive defeats.

Otherwise central defender Harry Davis is still short of a return despite Cheshire Senior Cup duty in midweek, while striker Marcus Haber is away on international duty for Canada.

“We have got to get on with things and put a team out to do a job,” manager Davis told the Stoke Sentinel. “I’m hoping that some of them will seize their chance in the line-up.

“(Febian) Brandy will be looking for more game time, George (Cooper) has done enough to be around the team, while Vadaine (Oliver) is our only big target man now,” he added. “Brad Inman has had the chance to play his way in to the team this week, so we will be looking at how he has progressed to decide which way we go.”

The Sky Blues’ own Canadian international Simeon Jackson is available to play, although defenders Reda Johnson (groin) and Andy Webster (calf) remain doubtful.

Definitely missing for the visitors are midfielder Danny Swanson and striker Frank Nouble.
