Crewe will be facing Macclesfield Town tonight in the not-so-much-anticipated Cheshire Premier Cup semi-final at Gresty Road.

Assistant boss Steve Davis will take the helm for night’s 7:45pm kick off and a fringe side is set to be named, with players who didn’t feature at Bury being given a run out.

It means games for the likes of Phillips and Murphy, who both should arguably be in the first 11 at the moment, whilst youngsters Nick Powell and Antoni Sarcevic will continue their claims for their first league starts respectively.

Dario will be in attendance to cast his eye over his ‘second eleven’ after deciding to give a Burton Albion scouting mission a miss tonight. Albion, who visit Gresty Road on Saturday, are in action at Northampton but will be watched by one of the club’s scouts.

The winner of tonight’s game at Gresty Road however will go on to face Stockport County in the Cheshire Premier Cup final. Stockport beat the competition’s only other competing side Tranmere Rovers 2-0 last month. The Alex are the current holders of the competition having beaten Macc in the final last season.

You can be in attendance tonight; tickets are priced at £8 for Adults, £5 for Senior Citizens and £3 for Under-16s. Kick off is at 7:45pm.
