Burton Albion have released details on the deal that brought us John Brayford on deadline day. We have paid £80,000 up front for the defender, with another £50,000 due in clauses meaning the fee is likely to rise to £130,000.

Albion will be due £25,000 after 20 first team appearances and a further £25,000 after 40 appearances. The Brewers also have a 20% sell on clause in the deal should Brayford be sold on.

The 20 year old was hot property in the Blue Square Premier with the likes of Crystal Palace reported to be eyeing the defender up. The England C international also received rave reviews from a Burton fan on the Vital Crewe Messageboard.

Brayford says he he is primarily a right back but can cover in centre back too.
