Crewe Alexandra approach tonight’s home clash against Peterborough United with increased confidence, according to manager Steve Davis.

“We go into the game with more confidence after a couple of good results.” – Steve Davis

That follows successive victories for the Railwaymen over Coventry City and Walsall during the last ten days, although they still remain at the foot of the table.

“It is an exciting game to look forward to,” Davis told Crewe’s official website. “We know they have one of the strongest teams in the league and are expected to be challenging again for promotion but we go into the game with more confidence after a couple of good results.

“They have also won their last two games and have had a good start to the season,” he added. “We know it will be a test for us but we are at home and we will give it a right go.”
