The winner of the Crewe Alexandra vs Bristol Rovers tie has been drawn away to Championship club Norwich City in this afternoon’s FA Cup 3rd Round Draw.
Crewe Alexandra have faced Norwich 14 times down the years (all during the Alex’s days as a Championship club) with both teams having won 5 games each although they have yet to face each other in the FA Cup.
Bristol Rovers have faced Norwich 57 times down the years and also have a record where both teams have won the same number of games, this time 20 victories each. They have only met during the 1912/13 season in the FA Cup with the sides playing out a couple of draws before Rovers won the third game 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.
The tie will be played across the weekend of 5th-8th January.
