There have been five games played on March 8th this century.

In 2003, we travelled to Tranmere Rovers` Prenton Park. Jason Price scored the opening goal for the hosts 2 minutes before half-time with Rob Hulse equalising 2 minutes after the break. Defender Ian Sharps gave the Whites the victory 2 minutes from time.

3 years later saw a local trip to the Moss Rose to face Macclesfield Town with Ross Draper scoring the only goal of the game 4 minutes before half-time.

The final game saw a trip to Peterborough United`s London Road 4 years ago. Chuks Aneke gave the Alex the lead in the 13th minute with a Britt Assombalonga penalty cancelling that out within 2 minutes and Nicky Ajose having the hosts in front by the break. Aneke added his second on 58 minutes with Danny Swanson (60) and Conor Washington (88) giving the Posh the victory.
