Crewe Alexandra On This Day – March 3rd

There have been seven games played on February 3rd this century.

The first was in 2001, where we hosted Tranmere Rovers at the Alexandra Stadium. Andy Parkinson opened the scoring for the visitors on the stroke of half-time before 2 goals in 3 minutes gave the Alex the lead as Steve Macauley (61) and Rob Hulse (63) scored with Colin Little adding a third with 8 minutes left on the clock.
