2003 – Crewe 1-1 Bristol City:
The first game of this round-up came 17 years ago with Bristol City making the trip north to the Alexandra Stadium. Kenny Lunt gave the Alex the lead on 15 minutes from the penalty spot with Christian Roberts levelling the scores on 62 minutes. Future Alex keeper Steve Phillips played the full game in goal for the visitors.

2006 – Crystal Palace 2-2 Crewe:
The second and final game of the column saw a trip to Selhurst Park to face Palace. Two Andrew Johnson goals in the first-half saw the hosts lead by 2 goals at the break with Luke Rodgers and a penalty from Lunt saw the visitors take home a point.
