Crewe Alexandra have announced that Norwegian striker Chuma Anene has become their third signing of the summer with the striker joining the club on a season-long loan from FC Midtjylland.
Anene, 26, is a well-travelled striker who has played in Russia, Macedonia, Kazakhstan and Denmark as well as his native Norway hasn’t really settled anywhere (the most appearances he’s made for his 9 clubs so far is 29 in league games).
Anene is not eligible to play tonight away at Crawley Town but is expected to be available to play a part against Newport County on Saturday and will wear the number 17 shirt during his spell in South Cheshire.
What does his signing mean to the Alex’s season?
I have to be honest and say that I know nothing about the player but going off the video that the Alex uploaded on their Youtube channel, he looks a composed finisher when he gets into the right positions and a decent enough alternative to Chris Porter whenever he needs a rest.
