&titlecoloNeil Mellor and Matt Hills goals saw Crewe defeated 2-0 to Preston in the final pre-season of the Alex’s summer.

Anthony Elding made his ‘debut’ as a second half substitute whilst new signing Joel Grant and young midfielder Michael O’Connor impressed in midfield.
