Dario Gradi was pleased with today’s 2-1 win over League Two outfit MK Dons. The Technical Director was particularly happy with Billy Jones’ crosses, which led to both goals, and Neil Cox being on the scoresheet.

Dario told crewealex.net:

‘I thought our goals were good goals, because the deliveries from Billy (Jones) were superb. They were excellent, dangerous crosses and Coxy’s goal was a fantastic goal.

‘I have just told Neil he has wasted all those years playing full-back, he could have been an international midfielder.’

Dario went on to say he thought the team deserved the win after some good defending from the back four.

‘Overall, I thought we defended pretty well throughout and Macca and Julien were always powerful in the air. I thought we just about deserved it and it was nice to see our set-play work being the difference on the day.’
