Crewe midfielder Justin Cochrane is on trial with Luton with a view to joining them on a free transfer this summer. The 24-year old midfielder is out-of-contract at the Alex this summer and has fallen out of favour at Gresty Road. Cochrane spent a period on loan with Gillingham recently, scoring 1 goal and picking up 2 bookings in his 5 appearances. Cochrane featured for Luton reserves this afternoon, scoring the goal as they drew 1-1 with Stevenage.

Cochrane made 77 appearances for Crewe after joining from Hayes FC in the summer of 2003, having been released from QPR a year earlier. Cochrane never scored a goal during his time at Crewe, though after a sensational debut against Everton, Cochrane secured his place as a fans’ favourite at the South Chesire club. However, Cochrane never lived up to his debut, though he will be remembered positively by Crewe fans.
