Crewe will be hoping to continue a good run of form by beating Northampton at the Alexandra Stadium.
Northampton Manager Stuart Gray is hoping that the Cobblers can get back on track at Crewe.
He told Northampton’s Official website ‘Crewe are going well at the moment and we know that it will be a real footballing game on Saturday. They like to play the game in the right way but we know that if we don’t get in their faces and we allow them to play they can hurt us.’
Simon Church, Owain Fon Williams and Michael O’Connor are all absent as they are on International Duty. Nicky Maynard, Steve Schumacher and Danny O’Donnell are all missing through injury.
Crewe have completed the loan signing of Cedric Baysea from Southampton and he will go straight in to the side in place of Simon Church
Likely Team: Williams, Jones, Woodards, McCready, Baudet, Cox, Rix, Roberts, Moore, Baysea, Lowe
The club captain has been in outstanding form of late and hopefully his form will continue as Crewe look to keep a winning run going in November.
Chris Doig is ruled out through injury but they have replaced him by bringing in Rotherham centre half Guy Branston on loan.
The defence will have to be aware of Kirk’s threat up front. The 5ft 10 striker has hit 9 goals already this season.
