Second half goals from Owen Dale, Daniel Udoh and Lewis Reilly have given the Under-23 team their first victory of the season in the Under-23 Professional Development League 2.

2 changes have been made from last week`s 3-2 defeat at Ipswich Town with Perry Ng coming in at centre-back following his first team suspension at the weekend and Ross Woodcock came in at right-back with Jordan Bowery and Reilly dropping out, the latter on the substitutes bench with Offord, Griffiths, Harrison and new goalkeeper Will Jaaskelainen. Trialist Lee Lucas played again, this time in midfield instead of as part of the back 4.

After a quiet first half, Crewe took the lead just after the hour-mark with Owen Dale heading home a Charlie Kirk cross following a corner being cleared and that advantage was doubled a few minutes later as Oli Finney`s cross was cleared to the edge of the area where Udoh fired in an unstoppable shot past Ryan Sandford.

The final goal of the game came from substitute Reilly as Finney`s cross was headed down by Josh Lundstram with Reilly scoring into the bottom corner. Millwall`s best chance of the game came 9 minutes from time with Junior Tiemela hitting the post.

On Saturday afternoon, the Under-18s played their first game of the season at Charlton Athletic`s training ground. Both teams are back in action later in the week with the Under-23s away at Cardiff on Friday afternoon and the Under-18s hosting QPR at Reaseheath on Saturday morning.
