Clayton and Powell In England Call

Highly rated Crewe youngsters Max Clayton and Nick Powell have been called up to the England U-16s.

The two youngsters have been regular features in Kenny Swain’s U-16 national side this season and remain only two of three players out side of the top two division to get call ups.

The pair will be heading out to France this week for the Montaigu Tournament with their first game in the group stage against France on Wednesday. They then face Gabon on Thursday and Japan on Saturday in the hope of winning their group and making their way to the final
