Dario has turned to former Alex manager Steve Holland to help his keeper woes this week.

Without a keeper to start the new season with, with Phillips injured and Legzdins departing, Dario has been sent a helping hand in the form of Chelsea reserve keeper Rhys Taylor. The 20 year old has been recommended by ex-manager and Academy genius Steve Holland, who now oversees the Chelsea reserve team.

Despite a loan spell at QPR last season, Taylor has yet to make a first team appearance since coming through Chelsea’s academy. He has however spent the last year in and around Holland’s reserve side, making 8 appearances.

The Welsh U-21 international will train with the Alex this summer before deciding if he wishes to pen a loan deal.

Rhys is a good young keeper, I think he needs more experience though and a loan spell at Crewe would benefit him greatly.

a year on their books would do him a world of good. he was wasted at QPR last year.

He is not Chelsea’s best young keeper, but to develop he needs to play regurlarly so this sounds like a good solution.
