Byron Moore Signs For The Shakers & Udoh On The Move

|

Former Crewe Alexandra winger Byron Moore has become Ryan Lowe’s second signing of the summer at Bury yesterday afternoon.

Moore, 29, started his career with the Alex where he made his debut in August 2007 (ironically stepping in for the injured Lowe) against Brighton & Hove Albion in the first of his 297 appearances for the Railwaymen, including an appearance at Wembley in the play-offs (in which he scored) against Cheltenham Town.

Upon leaving the Alex in 2014, he joined local rivals Port Vale before joining Bristol Rovers 2 years later. Across the 2 clubs, he made over 100 appearances. One criticism of his game has been that he only has 42 goals in his career from a wide position.

Also on the move yesterday was former Alex striker Daniel Udoh, with the Nigerian-born striker joining National League North team AFC Telford. Udoh, who was released by the Alex last month, has joined the Bucks after spending most of last season out on loan for Halesowen Town, Leamington F.C. and Chester F.C.
