The build up has officially started with the release of the fixtures for the new season. Fans and club alike will be looking forward to what will hopefully be a promotion push this coming season, and we start off with a home game against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday August 11th 2007.

Last season saw the Alex claim four points over Brighton, three of them coming in the away match where Nicky Maynard scored a double in a 4-1 thrashing. The game at Gresty Road though turned out to be a rather drab affair with Crewe squandering a 1-0 early lead to draw 1-1.

Crewe will continue their campaign the following Saturday with trip down to Bristol Rovers, a fixture that will please some fans. Rovers are moving out of the Memorial Ground half way through the season, when they’ll take up temporary residence at Cheltenham Town, so fans will be pleased to fit in a ground we haven’t visited in a while.

Boxing Day will see a trip to Huddersfield and a home tie against Oldham will be the finale on Saturday May 3rd 2008.

To see the full set of fixture please see the official Crewe Alexandra website.
