Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis says they will definitely benefit from their fourteen-day break with key players coming back to fitness.

“In two weeks time we could be in a much better position” – Steve Davis

The Alex are without a game this weekend due to their early FA Cup exit and next travel to Coventry City on Saturday week.

Winger Ryan Colclough and last season’s top scorer Mathias Pogba are both currently working their way back into contention following injuries.

“Ryan is back training fine and Pogs has joined in some running,” Davis told BBC Sport. “In two weeks time we could be in a much better position, certainly with Ryan back and Pogs being in the squad.”
