John Brayford has been named in the PFA’s Team of the Year for League Two after his impressive displays at right back.

The former Burton Albion man was voted in there by fellow League Two professionals.

Last year’s Player of the Season, Brayford has been ever present in the Alex back four this season and has been one of few bright points in a very leaky Alex defence.

He also came third in this season’s fans Player of the Season awards for the Crewe ASi behind winner Ashley Westwood and striker Clayton Donaldson.

Having signed from Burton in September 2008, Brayford has gone on to play over 80 games for the Alex but with just a year remaining on his contract his future is currently uncertain.

Nigel Clough, his boss from Burton, has already confirmed that Derby are lining up a bid for Brayford this summer and all signs point to the 22 year old’s departure this summer.

The League Two PFA Team Of The Year can be found in full on the PFA Website.
