Bradford Sign Gareth Evans

|

Bradford City have announced the signing of winger Gareth Evans, who also spent 2 seasons with the club between 2009 and 2011, on a two-year deal as he became their fifth signing of the summer.

Evans, 32, started his career at the Alex spending time on loan at Leigh RMI and Alsager Town before being released without making a first-team appearance. He would join Macclesfield Town in the summer of 2007 before also spending time at Bradford, Rotherham United and Fleetwood Town with him spending the last 5 seasons at Portsmouth (including where he spent some time as captain).

He joins former Alex striker Clayton Donaldson at Valley Parade.

What are Bradford getting from Evans?

Evans is someone that is familiar to the Bantams’ fans but he’s had to adapt his game a little during his spell at Portsmouth as he has also played a number of games at right-back and even started the season for them playing in the #10 role in their 4-2-3-1.
