Danny Blanchett has found a new club by signing a one year deal down the road at Burton Albion.
The left back was one of the more surprising departures from Gresty Road this summer having had a relatively solid season for the Alex but seems either issues off the pitch or Dario’s eagerness to blood the youngsters decided Blanchett’s future.
Blanchett had previously been linked with a host of Championship club, rather surprisingly, and had spent time on trial at Derby County but after a short stop at Burton Albion last week he committed himself to a one year deal.
Blanchett joins one the Alex’s many ex-trialists from this summer at Burton after Leicester City’s Tom Parkes joined Albion on a six month loan deal.
