Assistant manager Neil Baker expects newcomer Vadaine Oliver to become a really big asset for Crewe Alexandra.

“He is going to do something for us, no doubt about that” – Neil Baker

His comments come after the 21-year-old former Lincoln City striker took his pre-season haul to six goals with the weekend hat-trick against Nantwich Town.

“Vadaine did well. His second was a terrific goal,” Baker told the Crewe Chronicle. “He is going to do something for us, no doubt about that.

“He is a young man keen to go on and he is picking the role up and the goals will do him the world of good.”
