Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis thought it a much better performance following the 2-0 defeat at Bradford City.

“I thought it was much better today and I thought we were doing fine until the 70th minute” – Steve Davis

The Bantams netted a couple of late goals through Aaron McLean and Gary Liddle to leave their visitors still currently occupying bottom place in the table.

“I thought it was much better today and I thought we were doing fine until the 70th minute,” Davis told Crewe’s official website. “We were playing well defensively, especially in the first half, but I thought to give us a chance in the second half we would make that change tactically and switch back to the four across the back.

“We were set up defensively in the first half and were not creating too much up the other end,” he added. “We needed to create more and be better on the ball and we were. We got up the pitch a lot better and had some good moments.”
