Crewe have officially completed the signing of Julien Baudet on a three-year deal. The 27-year old had been offered a two-year deal on improved terms to stay with Notts County, but the lure of a 3-year contract and a higher division proved too great to resist. The 6’3 defender becomes our second signing of the summer, though further signings are believed to be imminent. Crewe’s interest in Baudet resulted from numerous visits to Meadow Lane, though at the time, Kelvin Wilson was the intended target, though he has since joined Preston.

Meanwhile, Steve Foster and Chris McCready are both talking to various other clubs. It is believed that their agents are looking to find them a Championship club for next season, though Foster’s departure appears more likely than McCready’s.

For more information on Baudet, see Vital Crewe’s previous article on the defender, Baudet Set to Sign.

Vital Crewe will continue to provide news of any impending signings, perhaps sooner rather than later.
