Barnard set for debut

At long last Crewe fans will get a glimpse of Lee Barnard. The Spurs youngster has come through training this week with no reaction and is set to start against Huddersfield on Saturday.

He is expected to replace Tom Pope who is likely to be rested. Ben Williams, Neil Cox and Gary Roberts will be recalled after missing the JPT defeat at Chester.

Byron Moore and Chris McCready are both in contention for a recall, McCready could feature at right back as Danny Woodards picked up an injury at Chester.

Meanwhile, Nicky Maynard is progressing well. The cast is now off and has began to undertake light training and should be back in contention for the match at Port Vale in November.
