Crewe Alexandra left-back Gregor Robertson is already a doubt for the weekend trip to Oldham Athletic.

The 29-year-old has experienced tendinitis in his knee after suffering a problem during the latest home defeat to Walsall.

The former Chesterfield defender only resumed playing last month following a lengthy absence with an Achilles injury.

Should Robertson be ruled out against the Latics it could witness a recall for Kelvin Mellor at Boundary Park.

But in better news teenage forward Ryan Colclough is closing in on a return after a recent hip injury and chest infection.
