Another Cap For Will For Finland’s Under-21s

|

Crewe Alexandra goalkeeper Will Jaaskelainen has made another appearance for the Finland Under-21 side during the international break that has just taken place.

He was an unused sub for their game against Northern Ireland on Friday in Ballymena as the young Finns lost 3-2 with Hugo Keto of HJK playing instead but would return to the team for their 2-1 defeat at Denmark in Aalborg earlier this evening, gaining his 8th cap at Under-21 level in the process. He is not eligible to play for the Under-21s following this campaign and would have to play for the senior team if he gets more international honours for Finland.

They play Malta in their final game of the group next month in Ta’Qali but cannot make the finals competition that takes place in Hungary and Slovenia – the group stage in the March international break with the knock-out stage taking place at the end of May and the start of June before the senior European Championship which starts on 11th June.
