Nick Powell, Max Clayton and Ben Garratt are named in the England U-17 squad for next month’s U-17 World Cup.

The young England team qualified for the World Cup just a few weeks ago as they progressed to the UEFA U-17 Championship semi-finals, a tournament in which both Powell and Clayton played significant parts.

They will travel to Mexico in June with England’s World Cup campaign kicking off on June 19th against group rivals Rwanda. Also in England’s group are Canada and Uruguay.

The call ups mean the Alex continue to have the second best representation in the England U-17 squad with three players, only behind Liverpool who have six of their youngsters competing.
