Crewe Alexandra receive a visit from relegation-threatened Scunthorpe United, once again under the leadership of former boss Brian Laws, this weekend.

“They have already shown that they can make a difference in matches with goals or assists” – Steve Davis

His counterpart Steve Davis appears to have a full squad available, one that was boosted this week by the return of Arsenal teenager Chuks Aneke for the rest of the season. Meanwhile, Brad Inman has secured a similar arrangement from Newcastle United while goalkeeper Alan Martin has recovered from a foot injury.

“We have added Chuks and now have Brad until the end of the season,” Davis told Crewe’s official website. “They have already shown that they can make a difference in matches with goals or assists. They have been very good additions to our squad and team.”

Scunthorpe will probably stick with the same side that held Carlisle United to a 1-1 draw last week, with midfielder Josh Walker returning on the bench after coming back from injury.
