Crewe Alexandra are still intent on returning Swindon Town forward Billy Bodin back to the club.

The Welsh Under-21 international impressed while featuring on loan for Alex last season and is still to commit himself to a new two-year deal at the County Ground.

But the stumbling block could be any compensation due to the Robins for the 20-year-old, who appears increasingly likely to leave last season’s League Two champions as Torquay United are similarly interested.

“If we can come to some agreement over that then we would like to do something,” manager Steve Davis confirmed to Alex’s official website. “We will speak to Swindon to see what sort of compensation fee Paulo [Di Canio} is looking for.”
