On Thursday – deadline day – Crewe turned down the opportunity to sign Burnley’s Gifton Noel-Williams on loan. As of 5pm on Thursday, Football League clubs may no longer loan players, with all transfer activity involving registered players now finished for the season. Crewe decided that there is sufficient firepower at the club – a decision perhaps vindicated by the fact that both strikers scored in yesterday’s 4-1 win over Coventry. However, Noel-Williams has since joined Brighton on loan, and scored on his Seagulls debut in a 1-1 draw against Luton yesterday.

I would say you are better off without him.Surely you have all the firepower you need to get you out of the relegation dogfight in Gareth Taylor?!?
