Crewe Alexandra midfielder Abdul Osman should be fit to return against Walsall at the weekend.

“An extra week on the training ground will have done him good” – Steve Davis

The 25-year-old failed to make the squad for the recent defeat at Portsmouth because manager Steve Davis considered he was still lacking sufficient sharpness.

Osman did make the journey but was left out of the final eighteen-man squad following limited training.

“He only returned to training on the Wednesday before he left for Portsmouth,” Davis told Alex’s official website. “An extra week on the training ground will have done him good and he comes back into our plans for the weekend.”
