Crewe Alexandra have been drawn at home in the first round of this season’s FA Cup against League 1 side Derby County after the draw took place within the last hour.
The clubs have met in 3 previous FA Cup games, the Alex winning the first meeting 1-0 in 1888 (the season that the club reached the semi-finals) before losing in the 1947/48 season 3-0, both of those games at home, while the only game in Derby taking place in 1985 where the hosts won 5-1.
The tie will be played across the first weekend of November.
