Crewe Alexandra are hopeful defender Harry Davis will be available for their weekend trip to Notts County.

Davis missed the superb midweek Johnstone’s Paint Trophy victory at Coventry City after suffering a toe injury in their previous win against Scunthorpe United.

Striker Mathias Pogba was also absent due to international duty but he returns at Meadow Lane.

The Magpies recently sacked manager Keith Curle after losing at home to bottom club Hartlepool United, with development squad boss Chris Kiwomya being placed in temporary charge.

But he was unable to halt their recent decline after overseeing a 2-0 defeat at Stevenage in midweek.
