Crewe Alexandra midfielder Abdul Osman is already a doubt to face MK Dons on Saturday after suffering an ankle injury at the weekend.

“We will have to assess Abdul’s ankle early this week” – Steve Davis

The 25-year-old was forced off during the 1-1 draw with Leyton Orient after a challenge from Anthony Griffith, who was immediately cautioned and later sent-off.

That has in turn left Osman in doubt for the weekend visit to MK Dons – thus creating further problems in an area that the Alex were already rather short.

“We will have to assess Abdul’s ankle early this week to see if he is going to be fit for the weekend,” manager Steve Davis confirmed to
Alex’s official website. “If not then we may have to look at doing something.”

But in more positive news winger Byron Moore should return after missing out at the weekend on compassionate grounds following the sad loss of a close friend.
