Crewe were only 1 of 5 league one sides that didnt pay for the services of a licensed agent in the 2006/07 season.

Only ourselves, local rivals Port Vale, Blackpool who achieved promotion and Cheltenham did not pay for an agent over the course of the last season.

In total league one clubs forked out £717,368 for the services of agents. In the period Bristol City paid the most for the services of agents (163,580). Not surprising that Crewe lost out to Bristol City for players like Jamie McCombe, Liam Fontaine and Brian Wilson.

Crewe were involved in 30 transactions which included 11 new registrations, 5 updated contracts, 7 cancelled contracts and 7 Loans over the course of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Championship neigbours Stoke City paid out over 700,000 in agents fees as they attracted a whole host of loan stars in order to mount a promotion push in the last campaign.
