Shaun Miller Joins Bolton

|

Bolton Wanderers have confirmed that striker Shaun Miller has joined the club on a 12-month deal, becoming their 17th signing of the summer.

Miller, 32, started his career with the Alex before leaving for Sheffield United in 2012 following our promotion into League 1. He would also play for Shrewsbury Town, Coventry City, Crawley Town, York City, Morecambe and Carlisle United before rejoining the Alex, initially on loan in January 2018 before making the move permanently that summer. He spent last season on loan at Morecambe.

He joins fellow former Alex player Antoni Sarcevic at the club and has been assigned the number 20 shirt, making his debut as a late substitute yesterday afternoon (we’ll look at it in the Academy Alumni column this evening).

What does the signing of Miller mean for the Trotters?

He’s someone that I see as being a rotation/back-up player for the club if I’m honest behind the duo of Eoin Doyle and Nathan Delfouneso. He’s a striker that plays better in a front two who will look to make intelligent runs off a bigger striker (although he won’t be as quick as he previously was).
