Here is the fourth look at how our former academy products have fared over this mid-week round of Football League fixtures as well as a Europa League game.
Firstly in the Europa League, Burnley’s Ashley Westwood was an unused sub in their 3-1 defeat in Olympiakos in the first leg of their play-off round.
Into the Championship where Billy Jones was not involved for Rotherham United in their 3-2 home defeat to Hull City.
Luke Murphy was not involved in Bolton Wanderers’ 1-0 win over Birmingham City on Wednesday.
Cheyenne Dunkley played the full 90 minutes for Wigan Athletic in their 3-0 victory at Stoke City whilst Nick Powell played the first 81 minutes, getting booked, before being substituted.
Onto League 1 action where Oliver Turton played the full game for Blackpool in their 2-0 home victory over Coventry City whilst Junior Brown played the full game for the visitors. Max Clayton was not involved for the hosts.
Kelvin Mellor played the first 69 minutes before being replaced in Bradford City’s 1-0 home win against Burton Albion.
Portsmouth’s Gareth Evans played the whole game and scored the opening goal in their 2-1 victory at Bristol Rovers.
George Cooper came on for the final 7 minutes in their 1-0 victory away at Charlton Athletic.
Finally into League 2 where Perry Ng, James Jones and Ryan Wintle all played the full game for Crewe Alexandra in their 6-0 defeat at Colchester United. George Ray (45) and Harry Pickering (58) both started the game before being replaced whilst Ben Garratt, Shaun Miller, Callum Ainley and Charlie Kirk were all unused substitutes.
Will Appleyard was not involved in Stevenage’s 0-0 away draw with Forest Green Rovers.
Byron Moore came on for the final 11 minutes in Bury’s 2-1 defeat at Lincoln City whilst Michael O’Connor was an unused substitute for the hosts.
Harry Davis played the full game for Grimsby Town in their 1-1 draw at Stadium:MK against the MK Dons.
AJ Leitch-Smith played the full game and scored the only goal for Morecambe in their 1-0 home victory. Jason Oswell played the first 74 minutes as his strike-partner whilst Billy Waters was not involved for the visitors.
David Vaughan played the first 62 minutes before being replaced in Notts County’s 3-2 defeat at Newport County whilst Matt Tootle was not involved.
