In this column, we’ll be looking back at this weekend’s action across the Premier League, Championship, National League and the 2nd Round Proper of this season’s FA Cup.

Premier League:

Ashley Westwood was an unused substitute for Burnley in their 2-0 away defeat to Crystal Palace.

None of Luke Murphy (Bolton), Cheyenne Dunkley or Nick Powell (both Wigan) were involved as the two teams drew 1-1 at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Chris Clements played the full game for Cheltenham Town in their 3-1 defeat at Accrington Stanley, Liam Nolan was not involved for the hosts.

Michael O’Connor came on for the final 12 minutes in Lincoln City’s 2-0 home win against Carlisle United.

Kelvin Mellor played the full game and scored for Bradford City in their 2-2 draw at Peterborough United, George Cooper was an unused substitute for the hosts.

Mark Carrington played the full game for Wrexham in their 0-0 home draw with Newport County while Chris Holroyd was an unused substitute for the hosts.

Onto Sunday’s games where Nicky Maynard played the full game for Bury in their 1-0 home defeat against Luton Town, Byron Moore played the first 57 minutes for the hosts.

Harry Davis played the full game for Grimsby Town in their 2-0 victory at Chesterfield.

Gareth Evans played 72 minutes before being replaced in Portsmouth’s 1-0 win at Rochdale.

Ryan Colclough was not involved for Scunthorpe United in their 1-0 defeat at Shrewsbury Town.

Ritchie Sutton was an unused substitute for Tranmere Rovers in their 1-1 home draw with Southport.
